Course Description: This course is designed for staff and volunteers who are involved with YMCA competitive swimming and diving programs. It includes an overview of the YMCA movement and the National YMCA Competitive Swimming and Diving Program, setting up and administering a program, working with parents, incorporating asset building and character development and understanding safety issues. Prerequisite: • Be at least 16 years of age by the last day of the scheduled course
Bring: Proof of age.
Successful completion of this class is required to be on the pool deck at any YMCA sanctioned meet.
